According to “wonder fiction” author, Vera Nazarian, “Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light.” We think everyone could use a little bit more light these days, and decided it was time for our first buddhi Book Club event! 📖

Suleika Jaouad, of infamous TED Talk and New York Times fame, has just released her debut book, Between Two Kingdoms, which is a breathtakingly poignant portrait of what it means to live a full life after a cancer diagnosis. She addresses the myriad of ways in which her diagnosis affected her identity, relationships and mental health. Everyone is welcome to attend.* "Everyone who is born holds dual citizenship, in the kingdom of the well and in the kingdom of the sick."

To purchase the book, we recommend supporting local bookstores through Bookshop.org! 🖤

*If you aren't able to finish the book in time, there are plenty of themes we can discuss together without needing to read the book!

What you'll need:

*Just your book (if you read it!) and a cozy drink of choice!

(PS - Be sure to also check out Suleika's @TheIsolationJournals for the most incredible journal prompts and a member community for discussion!
